Dr. J. Thompson Sullebarger graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his training in Cardiology at University of Rochester Medical Center's Strong Memorial Hospital. He is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiology. Dr. Sullebarger is one of Florida Cardiovascular Institute's founding physicians. His clinical interests include coronary, renal, and peripheral vascular interventions, balloon valvuloplasty and percutaneous interventions in congenital heart disease. He is the current President of Florida Cardiovascular Institute and Associate Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Sullebarger is the founder of Tampa International Heart Foundation. He provides international physician training, patient care, and supplies in several nations including Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize and Dominica. Dr. Sullebarger is the Principal Investigator on several clinical research studies, including the first scientific study of Chelation Therapy sponsored by the National Institute of Health (TACT) and MIST II, a trial of PFO closure for migraines. |
