John D. Ramirez, M.D.

   
 

     Dr. Ramirez is a native of Tampa, Florida. He received his M.D. from the Universidad del Caribe #139, Cayey, Puerto Rico in 1981. He completed his internship, residency (Chief Medical Resident), and cardiology fellowship at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliate New York Medical Center, New York, NY in 1987.

     He has practiced cardiology in the Tampa Bay area since 1987. His specialty is adult cardiology, and his special interests are in congestive heart failure; diabetes mellitus and its cardiovascular complications; and hypertension. He has practiced in research woth congestive heart failure and hypertensive patients and speaks frequently on a variety of cardiovascular disease topics.

     Dr. Ramirez is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, Clinical Cardiology Council, American Heart Association; Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association; American Society of Echocardiography, and Heart Failure Society of America, Inc.
