Radio-Frequency Ablation

Radio frequency ablation is a specialized technique performed similarly to heart catheterization. Abnormal electrical pathways are identified and ablated using micro-burns delivered via the tips of the catheter. RF ablation is offered by FCI electrophysiologists to patients with certain diseases, such as atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, some forms of ventricular tachycardia, AV nodal tachycardia and Wolf-Parkinson White Syndrome.
