Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram

 
 

General Description
     Two-dimensional ultrasound of the inside of the heart combined with chemically induced stress test for those patients who are unable to walk on a treadmill. Allows the cardiologist to assess for any abnormalities in the function of the left ventricle due to possible coronary artery disease.

Patient Preparation
     Wear shirt and pants or shorts and comfortable shoes. Allow 60 minutes for this test.
